Job summary

Custom Truck One Source (CTOS) seeks a Diesel Mechanic to support our network of locations. You will perform full lifecycle maintenance and repairs on Class 6–8 trucks, from engines to electrical systems.

Use diagnostic software and test equipment to pinpoint problems, replace worn parts, and ensure safety compliance. CDL is a plus; veterans are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver’s License; CDL is a plus.
• Hands-on experience as a Diesel Mechanic on Class 6, 7, or 8 heavy trucks.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and safety/compliance focus.
• Vocational/technical graduates and military veterans are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Pinpoint problems using diagnostic software and test equipment to uncover mechanical, hydraulic, and electronic issues.
• Inspect, repair, and overhaul chassis components—steering, suspension, and braking systems.
• Service emissions systems with focus on EGR components to maintain compliance and reliability.
• Install, troubleshoot, and repair PTO gearboxes and integrated hydraulics—pumps, cylinders, valves, and winches.
• Read schematics and repair 12V/24V circuits, wiring harnesses, starting/charging systems, and electronic control modules.

The Work You’ll Drive Forward

You’ll tackle full-lifecycle maintenance and repairs across commercial trucks and heavy equipment—bumper to bumper. Every day brings a new challenge:

• Pinpoint problems fast: Use advanced diagnostic software and test equipment to uncover mechanical, hydraulic, and electronic issues with precision.
• Rebuild the foundation: Inspect, repair, and overhaul chassis components—steering, suspension, and braking systems—to keep heavy trucks tracking true.
• Protect performance: Service emissions systems with a focus on EGR components, including coolers and valves, to maintain compliance and reliability.
• Power work tools: Install, troubleshoot, and repair PTO gearboxes and integrated hydraulics—pumps, cylinders, valves, and winches.
• Master the circuitry: Read schematics and repair complex 12V/24V circuits, wiring harnesses, starting/charging systems, and electronic control modules.

What You Bring
