Job summary

United Rentals is seeking a Field Diesel Mechanic - Customer Equipment Solutions (Service Tech IV - Field Service - CES) to maintain and repair complex equipment on customer owned machines with limited supervision. You will travel to customer sites, train junior technicians, and document all work orders in a timely manner.

This role requires a high school diploma, 5+ years of experience, and a strong mechanical background.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• 5+ years of experience repairing/maintaining equipment and tools.
• Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools.
• Must own tools applicable to position.
• Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance and repair of complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on rental and customer equipment.
• Travel to customer job sites for repair/maintenance; maintain service vehicle.
• Assist in training of lower level technicians.
• Maintain paperwork/electronic documentation of work performed (work orders).
• Upsell and demonstrate a wide array of complex equipment for customers.
• Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment & parts.
