Job summary

United Rentals is seeking a Field Diesel Mechanic – Customer Equipment Solutions (Service Tech III) to perform maintenance and repairs of complex equipment on customer-owned equipment with limited supervision in a highly skilled, safe, and professional manner.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of experience repairing/maintaining equipment and tools.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools.
• Knowledge of construction equipment and engines.
• Must own tools applicable to position.
• Excellent customer service, teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to lift up to 45 lbs frequently.

Responsibilities

• Safe maintenance and repair of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on customer equipment.
• Maintain paperwork and electronic work orders in a complete and timely manner daily.
• Upsell and demonstrate a wide array of complex equipment for customers.
• Travel to customer job sites for repair/maintenance; keep service vehicle clean and professional.
• Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment and parts.
• Other duties assigned as needed.
