Job summary

United Rentals is seeking a Field Diesel Mechanic - Customer Equipment Solutions (Service Tech IV - Field Service - CES) to perform maintenance and repairs on customer-owned equipment with minimal supervision. You will travel to customer sites, train junior technicians, and maintain thorough documentation while delivering excellent customer service.

The role demands strong mechanical skills, a valid driver's license, and ownership of the necessary tools.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 5+ years of experience repairing/maintaining equipment and tools.
• Advanced mechanical aptitude with working knowledge of tools.
• Superior customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repair of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on equipment.
• Travel to customer sites for repair/maintenance; maintain service vehicle.
• Assist in training lower level technicians as needed.
• Document work orders and repairs accurately and timely.
• Upsell and demonstrate equipment to customers.
