Job summary

United Rentals is seeking a Field Diesel Mechanic - Customer Equipment Solutions (Service Tech III - Field Service - CES). You will perform maintenance and repairs of complex equipment on customer-owned equipment with minimal supervision, while delivering exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities include servicing diesel systems, maintaining documentation, and traveling to job sites. Candidates should have a high school diploma, own tools, and 3–5 years of repair experience with engines.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Advanced mechanical aptitude and knowledge of engines.
• Experience repairing/maintaining equipment and tools.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Must own tools applicable to position.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs of complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on customer equipment.
• Maintain accurate paperwork and work orders daily.
• Upsell and demonstrate equipment to customers.
• Travel to customer sites for repair/maintenance; keep service vehicle clean and professional.
• Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment and parts.
