As a Field Diesel Mechanic (Service Tech III - Field Service), you'll perform maintenance and repairs on complex equipment safely and professionally. You can improve and challenge yourself daily, with potential for advancement into higher Service Technician and leadership roles. All team members are expected to provide exceptional customer service.

What You'll Do

• Perform safe maintenance and repair of rental equipment involving mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems.
• Travel to customer sites for repair/maintenance; maintain a clean and professional service vehicle.
• Assist in training lower-level technicians as needed.
• Maintain documentation of work performed (work orders) accurately and promptly.
• Assist with equipment and parts pickup/delivery.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable record.
• 3-5 years of experience repairing/maintaining equipment and tools.
• Advanced mechanical skills and knowledge of tools.
• Strong background in engines.
• Own tools applicable to the position.
• Excellent customer service, teamwork, and communication skills.
• Ability to lift items up to 45 lbs frequently.

This role is considered Safety Sensitive under United Rentals policies.
