Join us as a Field Diesel Mechanic at United Rentals

We are seeking a skilled Service Tech III - Field Service to perform maintenance and repairs on complex equipment safely and professionally. This role offers opportunities for growth into higher technician and leadership roles within our Service Department. As part of our team, you will provide exceptional customer service and contribute to our company's success.

Responsibilities

• Perform safe maintenance and repair of rental equipment involving mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems
• Travel to customer sites for repair/maintenance; maintain a clean and professional service vehicle
• Assist in training lower-level technicians
• Document work performed accurately and promptly
• Assist with equipment and parts pick-up and delivery
• Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
• 3-5 years of experience in repairing/maintaining equipment and tools
• Strong mechanical skills and knowledge of engines
• Own tools applicable to the position
• Excellent customer service, teamwork, and communication skills
• Ability to lift items up to 45 lbs frequently
