As a Field Diesel Mechanic (Service Tech III - Field Service), you'll perform maintenance and repairs on complex equipment safely and professionally. You can improve and challenge yourself daily, with potential to advance into higher Service Technician and leadership roles. You will also provide exceptional customer service.

What You'll Do

• Perform safe maintenance and repair of complex rental equipment involving mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems.
• Travel to customer sites for repair/maintenance; maintain a clean and professional service vehicle.
• Assist in training lower-level technicians as needed.
• Maintain documentation of work performed daily.
• Assist with equipment & parts pick-up and delivery.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable record.
• 3-5 years of experience repairing/maintaining equipment and tools.
• Advanced mechanical skills and knowledge of engines.
• Own tools applicable to the role.
• Excellent customer service, teamwork, and communication skills.
• Ability to lift items up to 45 lbs frequently.

This position is deemed Safety Sensitive under United Rentals' policies.
