Job summary

Certerra is seeking a Field Technician to perform on-site materials testing and construction inspection for multiple projects in the Portland area. You will conduct density and concrete tests, document results, and support QA with safety and customer service in mind.

The role requires a High School diploma, relevant certifications (ACI Grade I, Nuclear Gauge Safety), a valid driver's license, and ability to coordinate with project teams. Some travel to nearby sites is expected.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform in-place density testing on soil, base, and asphalt.
• Conduct ACI Grade I fresh concrete testing (slump, air, temp, unit weight).
• Prepare field reports and daily documentation.
• Communicate test results to project managers and clients.
• Calibrate and maintain testing equipment per procedures.
• Identify non-conforming conditions and report findings.
