Job summary

The Nebraska Center for Research on Children, Youth, Families & Schools at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln is seeking a Data Collector/Coder for a full-time, 10-month position (August-May). You will assist with research data collection and help empower childcare programs to implement evidence-based practices.

Travel to school sites for video assessments is required. Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in a related field and one year of data collection experience.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in nutrition, food science, early childhood, child development, education, psychology or related field, equivalent experience/education considered.
  • One year of experience administering assessments, coding video or audio records, or entering data into computerized databases.
  • Ability to work independently with attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with professionalism and assertiveness.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to meet University driver eligibility criteria.

Responsibilities

  • On-site coding and digital data collection.
  • Driving to school sites to set up video assessments and collect completed packets of measures and other data forms from research participants.
  • Training will be provided for the successful candidate; position requires occasional overnight travel.
