Job summary

The Nebraska Center for Research on Children, Youth, Families & Schools at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln is seeking a full-time Data Collector/Coder for the 10-month August–May period to assist with data collection for the Healthy Children, Healthy Communities project.

This on-site role requires conducting on-site coding and digital data collection, traveling to school sites for video assessments, and handling data packets. Training is provided, and a valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in nutrition, food science, early childhood, child development, education, psychology or related field.
  • One year of experience administering assessments, coding video or audio records, or entering data into computerized databases.
  • Ability to work independently with attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with professionalism and assertiveness.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to meet University driver eligibility criteria.

Responsibilities

  • On-site coding and digital data collection.
  • Driving to school sites to set up video assessments and collect completed packets of measures and other data forms from research participants.
