Job summary

Wildhorse Recruiting is seeking Mechanical Commissioning Engineers with hands-on data center experience to lead commissioning of cooling and HVAC systems. The role covers equipment startup through functional testing and IST with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities include reviewing drawings and procedures, walking down equipment, coordinating with vendors, verifying sensors and controls, and documenting test results. Relocation assistance is available for project sites.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of mechanical commissioning experience on data center projects.
• Hands-on commissioning for cooling/HVAC equipment such as chillers, CRAHs/CRACs, pumps, and cooling towers.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings, sequences of operation, and test procedures.
• Strong field troubleshooting, documentation and coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Review drawings, diagrams, submittals and test procedures to define testing requirements.
• Walk down installed equipment and identify incomplete work or deficiencies before startup.
• Coordinate with manufacturers and contractors during startup of cooling equipment and IST tests.
• Verify piping, sensors, and controls are installed and operate as intended; review TAB results.
• Execute and document functional tests, alarms, interlocks, and automatic changeover.
• Record results, maintain deficiency logs, and prepare commissioning documentation for turnover.
• Coordinate daily testing activities with site teams and follow safety procedures.
