Engineering Economics, Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Support for its Mission Critical team to help commission, test, and document mechanical systems in data centers and other high-reliability facilities.

This entry-level role sits on a field-focused team that values hands-on learning. You will work alongside experienced commissioning professionals, develop knowledge of HVAC, chilled water, and controls integration, and grow toward independent project support in a collaborative, People First

Qualifications

• Experience with mechanical systems, facilities operations, commissioning, construction, engineering, maintenance, building operations, or related technical environment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, drawings, and system information with guidance.
• Currently authorized to work in the U.S. full-time.

Responsibilities

• Assist with commissioning, testing, and verification of mechanical systems that support mission-critical facilities and data centers.
• Participate in field observations, equipment startup support, and functional testing alongside experienced technical staff.
• Gather field data, photos, notes, and system information to support documentation, issue tracking, and project closeout.
• Support project teams with coordination, site readiness, testing preparation, and clear communication across stakeholders.
• Build practical knowledge of HVAC, chilled water, cooling infrastructure, controls integration, and commissioning best practices.
• Help maintain accurate project records, test forms, issue logs, and deliverables that support successful project outcomes.
• Follow safety expectations and contribute to a collaborative, People First team environment.
