Job summary

Air Products seeks a Maintenance & Service Technician to service cryogenic and gas systems for customers within a ~250‑mile radius of Chicago, IL. The role is residence‑based with travel to sites and potential overnight stays for training.

You will use company equipment and participate in after‑hours call-outs as needed. Ideal candidates have a safety‑first approach, a HS diploma (technical degree preferred), and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Safety‑first mindset; safety comes before production.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree preferred but not required.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean MVR.

Responsibilities

• Service cryogenic, high‑pressure, and generated gas systems at customer sites.
• Occasionally supervise contractors and crane operations.
• Participate in after‑hours and weekend call‑outs; maintain 24/7 availability.
• Travel includes some overnight stays; training may require more travel.
• Use company laptop, truck, gas card, uniforms, and tools.
