Job summary

Maidstone Harvest is seeking a Field Crew Member for their Annapolis, MD location. This full-time, year-round role involves working 40–50 hours per week depending on season, with responsibilities across planting, cultivation, irrigation, greenhouse work, pest and climate control, and disease management.

Ideal candidates will have experience with organic farming practices, operate farm equipment, keep production records, and communicate well with the Farm Manager and team.

We currently have two field locations and are expanding. Our goal over the next few years is to grow to a 7 acre market farm that will not only cater to our chefs and established restaurants, but also add other channels to help expand sales.

Job Description

Farm Crew Member Wanted for a small organic farm. We are looking to hire a full-time, year-round farm crew member with experience. The position works at least 40 hours a week through the cooler months, with the scheduling expanding up to 50 hours through the main growing season. We are seeking an individual who is passionate about farming, hard-working, motivated and excited to join a growing team.

Skill Requirements

• Knowledgeable and has experience with organic practices. Experience with machine operation, and equipment for tasks related to production and maintenance.
• Excellent communication with Owner, Farm Manager, administrator, and fellow farm employees.
• Computer savvy and able to maintain records of seed starts, planting, production, and yields.
• Interest and knowledge in soil and field management, planting, cultivation, irrigation, greenhouse work, pest and climate control, and disease management.
• Physically capable of working long days and lifting up to 60 pounds

Compensation

• Salary or compensation package to be fair and equitable, including personal time with sick days.
• this position is: hourly, $15-20/hr
