Job summary

Austin Wood Recycling is hiring a General Laborer to support our production and grinding operations in Texas. You will perform general clean-up duties in outdoor yard and field sites while maintaining safety and professionalism around coworkers and customers.

The role requires up to 60 hours per week (including Saturdays). Training will be provided for equipment operation such as skid steers, tractors, and mowers. A drug screen is required; bilingual skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs frequently.
• Ability to work up to 60 hours per week including Saturdays.
• Skidsteer, tractor and mower experience preferred.
• Bilingual is preferred.
• Must pass a drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Perform general clean-up duties within the yard production area and/or grinding field sites.
• Safely and efficiently operate equipment such as skid steers, tractors, lawn mowers, and weed-eaters (training provided if needed).
• Conduct basic equipment inspections, and report maintenance needs.
• Report all accidents and injuries, regardless of severity.
• Follow all standard operating procedures and processes related to general clean-up duties within the production and job-site area.
• Safety gear is required and expected to be always worn (safety toe shoes/boots, vest, hard hat, gloves).
• Assume other duties and responsibilities as required or assigned by management.

• Skidsteer, tractor and mower experience preferred.
• Bilingual is preferred
• Must pass a drug screen
• Must be able to lift up to 70lbs frequently and involving repetitive motion
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time and walk for short periods
• Must be able to bend and stoop throughout the workday (lifting debris, using shovels, etc.)
• Must be able to climb and descend stairs and ladders
• Must be able to work in outdoor environment with exposure to heat, cold, dust and noise.
• Must be able to travel to different job locations
