Job summary

Illinois Crane Inc in Minnesota is hiring a Crane Technician to install, inspect, maintain and repair hoist and crane equipment. The role requires working with overhead cranes, hoists, and electrical systems, with daily local travel to customer sites.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of crane/troubleshooting experience, is able to work at height, and can operate independently in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment. OSHA-compliant inspections and safety come first.

Qualifications

• 5+ years troubleshooting cranes and hoist equipment.
• Experience with 3-phase motors, VFDs, contactors, and circuits.
• Overhead crane and scissor lift experience required.
• Valid driver's license with good driving record.
• Ability to work at height in extreme temperatures and noisy locations.
• Local travel to customers daily.
• Physically demanding; lift 50–100 lbs.
• Able to work independently and professionally with customers.
• Strong communication with customers and internal teams.
• Knowledge of OSHA criteria for inspections.

Responsibilities

• Service overhead crane systems and hoists with quality installations.
• Perform OSHA-equivalent inspections and warranty work.
• Preventive maintenance and emergency service.
• Interface with customers to repair equipment.
• Document service actions and inspections.
• Maintain equipment, tools, and company vehicle.
