Job summary

Illinois Crane Incorporated in Neenah, Wisconsin, is hiring a Crane Technician to install, inspect, maintain, and repair hoist and crane equipment. The technician will perform quality installations, OSHA-like inspections, and preventive maintenance while ensuring safety and professional standards.

The role requires hands-on experience with overhead cranes, 3-phase motors, VFDs, and related electrical systems.

Qualifications

5+ years troubleshooting cranes and hoist equipment required.
Experience with 3-phase motors, VFDs, contactors, and circuits.
Previous overhead crane and scissor lift experience required.
Associate’s degree with concentration in Industrial Electrician or Electro-Mechanical Technology preferred.
Physically demanding role; able to lift 50–100 lbs; work at height.
Must have valid driver’s license with good driving record.

Responsibilities

Service overhead crane systems and hoists by performing quality installations.
Perform OSHA-equivalent inspections; document and complete warranty work; troubleshoot breakdowns.
Perform preventive maintenance; respond to emergency service/breakdown calls.
Support customers by interfacing with customer and office to repair equipment.
Make electrical and/or mechanical adjustments or repairs with/without engineered drawings.
Maintain rapport with customers by examining complaints and offering solutions.
