Directions for Living is seeking a COP Field Counselor to provide trauma-informed counseling to children, adolescents, and families in the Outpatient Services Division. The role can involve office or community-based sessions and emphasizes recovery, self-advocacy, and family-centered approaches.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work or related field required.
• Knowledge of DSM-IV and ICD-9 diagnostic codes.
• Basic knowledge of psychotropic medications.
• Clinical intervention skills with children, adults and families.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical interventions to youth, adolescents, and families in COP.
• Deliver individualized, recovery-focused counseling in office or community settings.
• Coordinate with psychiatry and Behavioral Health staff as needed.
• Document service notes and ensure essential hours are logged.
