Job summary

Directions for Living in Florida is seeking a Counselor for the TW 2.0 program within the Outpatient Services Division. This professional clinical role provides therapy to children and families and collaborates with the Integrated Decision Team to craft individualized treatment plans.

The position emphasizes safety, trauma‑informed care, and addressing suicide risk, trauma, and mental illness in the Pinellas County School system.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work or related field required.
• License in the healing arts preferred.
• Minimum of two years documented clinical experience with at‑risk children and families.
• CAP certification preferred.
• Must take Wraparound for Clinicians Training within 30 days of employment.
• Experience with school aged children with histories of suicidal thoughts or actions.
• Knowledge of Florida Baker Act Law.

Responsibilities

• Provide counseling to children and families in the TW 2.0 program.
• Develop individualized treatment plans with the IDT team.
• Deliver trauma‑informed, evidence‑based interventions.
• Meet annual client care hours target.
• Work in community settings convenient for families.
