Job summary

Raymond West is seeking a skilled Conveyor Technician to join our team. The role focuses on repair and service of customer equipment, maintaining strong customer relationships, and promoting company services. Field travel is required.

Responsibilities include belt repair, splicing, and software integration, with emphasis on safety and accurate service documentation. Overtime and out-of-town work may be required; a clean driving record is needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum of 3 years breakdown or service experience; or equivalent education/experience.

Responsibilities

• Repair all types of Conveyor equipment sold and serviced.
• Proficient in lacing, splicing, cutting, vulcanized, and cold bonding belts.
• Mechanical, Electric, Pneumatic and software integration problem solving.
• Perform belt alignment and tracking.
• Update training and skills on a continuing basis.
• Train other employees as needed.
• Maintain a profitable billing level.
• Follow Service Department procedures.
• Communicate with leadership on progress.
• Complete service documentation timely and accurately.
• Explain options to customers before proceeding with work.
• Maintain necessary tools for repair and scheduled service.
• Complete jobs within quoted time limits when applicable.
• Maintain a clean, professional vehicle and work area.
• Pass all available certifications for the position.
