Job summary

KraussMaffei Corporation in Florence, KY seeks a Field Controls Technician to install, repair, and optimize KraussMaffei equipment at customer sites. You will troubleshoot, commission, and train customers while documenting visits and costs.

Expect to lead junior technicians and collaborate with RPM/automation teams to achieve service excellence. This hourly, non-exempt role requires on-site work, strong mechanical/electrical skills, and travel to multiple regional locations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree or technical certification in Electrical Engineering Technology, Mechatronics, Automation, or related field preferred.
• Working knowledge of PLC-based control systems and electrical schematics.
• Ability to analyze and resolve electrical, controls, and mechanical issues in a fast-paced customer environment.
• Competency in workflow software (MS Office, Innosoft, Concur, SAP).

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support and troubleshooting service to customers over the phone, virtually, and at their facilities to install, repair, and optimize KraussMaffei equipment.
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and restore function to KraussMaffei equipment.
• Commission equipment and ensure customer satisfaction with standard handoff procedures.
• Create detailed service reports including visit description, work, costs, and time.
• Conduct customer training on operation and maintenance of KraussMaffei equipment.
• Lead and train less experienced service personnel as needed.
• Plan and lead RPM controls and automation work; collaborate with RPM team on strategy and execution.
