Job summary

KraussMaffei Field Controls Technician in Kentucky provides technical support to customers by phone, remotely, and on customer sites to install, repair, and optimize KraussMaffei equipment around injection molding and RPM systems. You will diagnose issues, perform commissioning, and deliver detailed service reports.

Travel is significant across multi-regional locations with on-site leadership and training duties.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree or technical certification in Electrical Engineering Technology, Mechatronics, Automation, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience troubleshooting, commissioning, installing, and servicing industrial equipment in a manufacturing or field service environment.
• Working knowledge of PLC-based control systems, electrical schematics, industrial automation equipment, and related diagnostic tools.
• Ability to analyze and resolve electrical, controls, and mechanical issues in a fast-paced customer environment.
• Competency in workflow software (MS Office, Innosoft, Concur, SAP)

Responsibilities

• Systematically analyze, troubleshoot, and restore function to KraussMaffei equipment.
• Commission KraussMaffei equipment and follow procedures for handoff.
• Review work, costs, time, and additional work identified on site with manager and customer.
• Create thorough service reports describing visit, work completed, costs, and time.
• Conduct customer training relating to operation and maintenance of KraussMaffei equipment and products.
• Lead and train less experienced service personnel as needed.
• Follow standardized procedures.
• Plan and lead RPM controls and automation work.
• Collaborate with RPM team on strategic vision, sales leads, and plan of execution.
