Job summary

Thermo Systems is seeking a Control System Technician to provide hands-on installation, start-up, and commissioning of control systems at client sites. Travel to installations for maintenance or repairs will be required.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of industry experience, experience with AVEVA System Platform and AVEVA Historian is a plus, and a strong focus on safety and quality throughout project execution.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Engineering Technology, Computer Information Systems Technology, or related curriculum or equivalent experience.
• Typically, 2+ years industry experience.
• 2+ years as Control System Technician or equivalent.
• AVEVA System Platform and/or Operations Management Interface experience strongly preferred.
• Experience with AVEVA Historian and related AVEVA technologies is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist and be self-sufficient in project installation, start-up and commissioning of control systems.
• Perform instrument loop checks and calibrations.
• Perform maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of control systems.
• Lead and perform Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT).
• Wire instruments and control panels.
• Demonstrate basic understanding of HMI and PLC applications.
• Read and interpret piping & instrumentation diagrams and wiring diagrams.
