Job summary

Upgrade Resources in Fort Worth, TX is seeking a Controls Service Technician to service building automation systems across North Texas. This on-site role involves diagnostics, programming tweaks, and coordinating with facility personnel.

You will work independently at customer sites, drive a company vehicle, and support system upgrades while adhering to safety policies. A strong BAS and IP networking foundation is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of building automation or controls service experience.
• Experience troubleshooting BAS systems and HVAC control sequences.
• Working knowledge of IP networking and BAS communications.
• Experience modifying control programs and graphics within established standards.
• Territory-based role involving significant daily driving and adherence to fleet policies.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repair of building automation systems and HVAC equipment.
• Investigate system alarms, communication issues, and performance problems.
• Modify existing control programming, graphics, and databases as needed to correct issues.
• Assist with system upgrades including firmware, software, workstation updates, and controller replacements.
• Conduct preventative maintenance and service activities under service agreements.
• Communicate with building operators to understand issues and explain system operation.
• Complete service reports and technical documentation accurately and on time.
