Job summary

Jobot in Texas seeks a Senior Building Automation Service Technician to support advanced controls service work across commercial facilities. You will diagnose and resolve complex BAS and HVAC issues while coordinating with facility teams.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years experience in building automation, BAS programming, and networking, with strong customer-facing skills and the ability to mentor junior technicians on site. This role offers a path to lead key service projects.

Qualifications

8+ years of experience in building automation / HVAC controls service.
Strong troubleshooting experience with BAS programming, networks, and system integrations.
Knowledge of HVAC mechanical systems and control sequences.
Experience working directly with building owners, engineers, and IT teams.
Ability to lead technical work independently in the field.
Experience with Niagara or other major BAS platforms is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and resolve complex building automation and HVAC control system issues
Troubleshoot BAS programming, communications networks, integrations, and control sequences
Perform system upgrades, database modifications, and performance optimization
Lead technical execution on complex service calls and small BAS service projects
Work with customer IT teams on networking, IP configuration, and remote system connectivity
Integrate BAS platforms with third‑party equipment and mechanical systems
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior technicians
Communicate with facility teams to diagnose issues, explain solutions, and ensure system performance
