Job summary

CyrusOne is seeking a Field Controls Engineer to ensure the availability, reliability, and day-to-day operation of EPMS and BMS control systems across assigned data center sites. The role is field-forward, serving as the on-site regional technical resource for controls health, troubleshooting, and commissioning.

The engineer will work with Operations Controls Systems, Site Operations, and IT to ensure control systems accurately reflect infrastructure, remain stable, and support 24×7

Qualifications

• 4–6+ years of experience in industrial controls, facilities automation, or mission critical environments (data center experience preferred).
• Hands‑on experience supporting EPMS, BMS, or BAS platforms.

Responsibilities

• Support the availability and reliability of EPMS, BMS, and associated control systems across assigned sites.
• Perform routine system checks, alarm reviews, and health validations to ensure data accuracy and system stability.
• Troubleshoot controls-related issues across software, network, and field device layers.
• Execute approved changes, patches, and minor upgrades under established change management processes.
• Maintain backups, configuration records, and system access controls.
• Coordinate troubleshooting efforts that span controls software, networking, and physical infrastructure.
