Job summary

Tuff Shed, Inc. is hiring a Field Construction Technician – DOT in the Tampa, FL area. The role involves delivering storage buildings to specified sites, performing warranty repairs, and ensuring safety and DOT compliance while providing excellent customer service.

You will also support promotional events, manage displays, and coordinate with management on warranty eligibility and maintenance needs. Prior experience in field construction and driving a DOT-compliant vehicle is preferred.

Qualifications

• Construction industry knowledge with basic carpentry, roofing and painting skills.
• Ability to read tape measure and working drawings.
• Proficiency with basic power tools (air compressors/tools, hammer, saw, drill).
• Strong customer service and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication at all levels with customers, partners and colleagues.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable MVR; ability to meet DOT requirements.

Responsibilities

• Safely delivers Tuff Shed buildings to Home Depot stores, customer properties, and retail lots; performs warranty repairs as needed.
• Delivers excellent customer service to current and prospective customers; supports off-site events and maintains displays.
