Job summary

Tuff Shed, Inc. is seeking a Field Construction Technician – DOT to join our team to deliver high-quality Tuff Shed storage buildings and perform on-site warranty repairs.

The role emphasizes safe delivery, customer service, and adherence to DOT requirements. The ideal candidate has carpentry, roofing, painting, and basic tool skills, plus the ability to read drawings, operate power tools, and communicate effectively with customers and partners.

Qualifications

• Broad knowledge of the construction industry with basic carpentry, roofing and painting skills.
• Ability to read tape measures and working drawings accurately.
• Proficiency with basic power tools and air tools for on-site work.
• Strong customer service and problem-solving abilities; good communication.

Responsibilities

• Safely delivers Tuff Shed buildings to Home Depot, customer properties and retail lots.
• Performs warranty repair tasks on customer sites in a courteous and timely manner.
• Provides feedback to management on warranty eligibility and service needs.
• Delivers excellent customer service and supports off-site events such as Home Shows.
• Logs DOT hours, performs pre/post-trip inspections and maintains vehicle readiness.
• Maintains HD displays and marketing materials and reports tool defects.
