Position Overview

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Field Construction Technician to support our construction operations in Savannah, GA. This role ensures project success through oversight of production standards, quality control, scheduling, financial performance, and customer contract compliance. The ideal candidate thrives in a hybrid work environment and enjoys both office-based coordination and field site engagement.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in pre-bid and pre-construction activities, including internal and customer meetings.
• Ensure full compliance with customer contracts, including traceability documentation and preparation of as-built drawings.
• Review and validate daily field reports; maintain and update project tracking sheets.
• Monitor project performance metrics including production, cost, schedule, and financial outcomes.
• Address and resolve customer billing issues in a timely and professional manner.
• Assist in scheduling internal crews and subcontractors to optimize project timelines.
• Support material procurement and ensure accurate material accountability throughout the project lifecycle.
• Oversee project closeout activities, ensuring accurate final billing, material reconciliation, and fulfillment of all contract requirements.

Qualifications

Education

• High School Diploma required; technical training in drafting, engineering, or project management preferred.
• PMP Certification is a plus.

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of construction experience, ideally within the natural gas industry.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting utility construction drawings.
• Demonstrated understanding of project management principles and practices.
• Strong communication skills across all mediums and organizational levels.
• Effective team player with strong interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word; familiarity with Microsoft Project is a plus.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
