Job summary

SBA Communications in Illinois is seeking a Supervisor, Construction to manage the construction/colocation process, supervise field teams, and serve as on-site client representative. You will coordinate resources, monitor budgets, and ensure timely, quality site delivery per client specs.

The role requires overseeing safety, communicating with internal and external teams, and delivering daily status updates. Travel is required, with extended hours as needed to meet project deadlines.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma/GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 1+ years of construction or equipment installation experience; wireless telecommunications preferred.
• Domestic Travel.
• Valid Government Issued Driver's License.
• OSHA 10Hr Safety Course preferred.
• CPR/First Aid preferred.
• CDL preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, prioritize and organize material deliveries, equipment, manpower and subcontractors for efficient progress.
• Remain knowledgeable on customer specifications to produce quality sites meeting expectations.
• Inspect job sites daily to ensure plans and quality standards are met and address deficiencies.
• Enforce SBA safety practices; conduct weekly safety meetings and document discussions.
• Inspect subcontractor work; ensure progress aligns with schedule and budget; report issues.
• Coordinate with client and vendors to resolve issues and ensure satisfaction.
• Maintain open communication with field personnel and appropriate office staff.
• Confirm hours and description of work performed for employees with Territory Management.
• Notify Territory Management of resource and equipment needs.
• Provide daily status reports to management and clients as required.
• Perform bid walks and prepare necessary documentation for Territory Management.
• Prepare project deliverables and coordinate with vendors on materials delivery.
• Lead pre-construction walks with clients to confirm site layout and setbacks; mark utilities.
