Job summary

Clark Construction Group in San Antonio, TX seeks an Assistant Superintendent to oversee self-performed and subcontracted work, ensuring alignment with contract documents and project schedule. You will implement a culture of safety and quality on active construction sites and coordinate field operations for specific trades.

You will supervise crews, manage workflow, monitor progress, and enforce safety standards per OSHA and company policies.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of construction management experience in a field supervisory role.
• Demonstrated ability to direct the work of others including subcontractors and suppliers.
• Working knowledge of the construction process including scheduling, contract administration, equipment, manpower.
• Well versed in safety and government regulations (e.g., OSHA) with success in implementation on a job site.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate installation of work in accordance with contract documents, project schedule, and planned sequence of work.
• Be aware of milestone dates and requirements to achieve them.
• Understand contract documents and scope of work for the assigned area(s) or trades.
• Develop an understanding of the duration of each activity.
• Apply knowledge of equipment capability and plan for optimum utilization.
• Know delivery dates for materials and equipment impacting the area(s)/trades.
• Supervise field workforce to ensure work is completed cost-effectively and within budget.
• Implement the safety program and conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with standards.
• Maintain good relationships with subcontractors and suppliers.
