Job summary

Gaylor Electric, Inc. is seeking a Safety Specialist to implement and enforce safety programs on construction sites in El Paso, TX. Travel may be required, and the role reports to the Project Manager with guidance from the Safety Manager.

The ideal candidate will have 3 years of construction safety experience, OSHA 30 Construction certification, and strong organizational and communication skills to manage training plans and incident investigations.

Qualifications

• 3 years of construction safety experience.
• Knowledge of construction OSHA rules and recordkeeping.
• Strong administrative, computer, organization, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement an accident prevention program and training plan.
• Identify safety work permits and assure project compliance.
• Conduct incident/investigation reporting in a timely manner.
• Oversee and administer the Toolbox Talks program.
• Participate in loss control programs including injuries, health claims, and equipment damage.
• Prepare statistical reports and maintain records for reporting and auditing.
