Job summary

Gaylor Electric, Inc. is seeking a Safety Manager to develop and enforce comprehensive safety programs on construction projects. The role reports to the Project Manager with guidance from the Safety Director and may involve travel.

Responsibilities include implementing accident prevention plans, conducting incident investigations, and coordinating OSHA training and safety certifications. The position requires strong administrative and communication skills and experience in commercial/industrial

Qualifications

• 3 years titled safety management/administration experience.
• Knowledge of construction OSHA rules, regulations and record keeping.
• Strong administrative, computer, organization, and communication skills.
• Experience in the commercial/industrial construction industry, preferred.
• High level interpersonal relationship skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement an accident prevention program and training plan.
• Identify safety work permits and ensure compliance with project contract plans.
• Conduct incident/investigation reporting in a timely manner.
• Prepare statistical reports and maintain records for reporting and auditing purposes.
• Oversee Toolbox Talks program and distribute topics for timely presentation.
• Participate in loss control programs and safety training.
• Enforce company safety policies and procedures and assist with special projects.
• Handle safety inquiries and provide direct action responses.
• Assist Education Department with safety training and OSHA certifications.
• Perform routine job site safety inspections.
• Liaise with community or external agencies as needed.
• Organize and prioritize workload to meet deadlines.
