Job summary

The Walsh Group seeks a Quality Inspector I for the Dallas, TX DFW project to verify construction quality against contract requirements. The role includes inspections, material testing, documentation, and collaboration with project teams to ensure compliance and safe, efficient progress.

The ideal candidate has entry level to five years QA/QC experience, a high school diploma (technical college preferred), and strong communication skills. Some travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Supports Quality Managers with task-specific quality management of a project, including tests, inspections, submittals and procedures.
• Conducts field inspections to ensure contract compliance and documents findings.
• Conducts material testing (concrete, soils, masonry, steel) as certified by contract and industry standards.
• Participates with project staff to inspect sites and report safety/quality concerns.
• Ensures delivered materials meet submittals and are stored/handled properly.
• Works with Foremen and Engineers to ensure work is Right The First Time.
• Raises and tracks quality issues and supports QIR issuance/resolution.
• Ensures crews have access to needed documents and tracks quantities.
