Job summary

Olsson is seeking a Construction Materials Testing Technician to perform geotechnical materials testing, observations, and inspections across multiple projects. You will collect samples, test properties, and communicate results to project teams, ensuring safety and quality.

Travel to Southern Florida, Central Alabama, and Indiana projects is required, with onboarding nearby the site. The role emphasizes mentorship, ongoing professional development, and access to a benefits package for full-time

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving history.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction, or related field preferred.
• EIT or ICC certification preferred, not required.
• ACI Grade I and Nuclear Gauge certifications preferred, not required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office with data-entry ability.

Responsibilities

• Collect construction materials samples from sites and perform tests and inspections.
• Document findings and communicate results to project managers and field staff.
• Work in diverse terrains and weather conditions and travel to project locations daily.
• Support ongoing certification and training development for career growth.
