Job summary

Black & Veatch Family of Companies is seeking an experienced Assistant Construction Manager to lead field activities on simple cycle and combined cycle power projects in Lawton, Oklahoma. You will coordinate day-to-day construction tasks, work with the Construction Manager, and drive safe, high-quality work aligned with schedule and budget.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of field leadership on power projects, OSHA training, and a bachelor’s degree in construction or engineering.

Qualifications

• 10+ years field construction supervisory experience on power generation projects.
• OSHA Training.
• Pre-employment onboarding requirements including background check, drug screen, and MVR as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site subcontractor activities for safe, efficient execution in line with CPM schedule and subcontract requirements.
• Coordinate site access, daily work planning, and field logistics for safe, productive teams.
• Support implementation of the Project Construction Execution Plan and provide leadership to superintendents and field teams.
• Monitor productivity, schedule performance, and field progress to meet budget, schedule, safety, and quality goals.
• Develop and execute schedule recovery plans with subcontractors and project leadership.
• Coordinate turnover activities with startup and project teams and assist with client coordination and field issue resolution.
