Job summary

Black & Veatch is hiring a Construction Manager for conventional generation projects. This field-based role will lead on-site construction activities, coordinate with the Site Manager, and ensure work aligns with schedule, budget, and client expectations.

Travel to multiple sites is required. The ideal candidate has 10+ years of supervision experience in power construction, strong safety leadership, and CPM scheduling expertise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction, engineering or related field preferred.
• 10+ years construction supervisory experience required.
• OSHA Training and pre-employment screening may be required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate on-site subcontractor activities for safe, efficient execution.
• Coordinate site access, daily work planning, and field logistics for productivity.
• Support Project Construction Execution Plan with leadership to field teams.
• Monitor progress against schedule, budget, safety, and quality goals.
• Develop schedule recovery plans with project leadership as needed.
• Coordinate turnover activities with startup and project teams.
