Job summary

The Select Group is seeking an experienced Construction Manager for generation projects, including thermal, solar, and battery storage assets. This on-site leadership role interfaces with owners, EPCs, and subcontractors to drive schedule, cost, quality, and safety from mobilization through turnover to commissioning.

The ideal candidate has 15+ years in power-generation construction, hands-on field experience on large-scale projects, and a track record of managing EPCs and multi-contractor

Qualifications

• At least 15 years of construction management in power generation.
• Direct field experience on thermal, solar or BESS projects.
• Experience managing EPC contractors and subcontractors on large-capital projects ($50M+).
• Proficient in CPM scheduling and earned value concepts.
• Strong safety leadership and OSHA program experience.
• Knowledge of turnover from construction to commissioning processes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with stakeholders.
• Degree in CM/Engineering preferred; equivalent field experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate all on-site construction activities from mobilization to substantial completion.
• Represent owner or TS G in interactions with EPCs, subcontractors, and craft labor.
• Manage the construction schedule with project controls and recover when milestones slip.
• Own field-level cost tracking and review change orders before payments.
• Lead site safety culture and enforce OSHA and client safety programs.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and commissioning to resolve field issues.
• Oversee QC and inspection for civil, mechanical, electrical installation.
• Manage turnover from construction to startup and commissioning.
• Participate in constructability reviews and lessons-learned sessions.
• Provide progress reporting on schedule, cost, safety, and risks.
