Job summary

Burns & McDonnell is seeking an Assistant Construction Manager in Atlanta to support the Construction Project Manager and EPCProject Manager in day-to-day project tasks. You will help oversee safety, quality, schedule, cost control, contracts, procurement, and field operations across diverse industries from aviation to power.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in construction, engineering, or related field with at least 3 years of experience, strong communication, and solid proficiency in MS

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field and 3 years relevant construction experience required.
• Excellent computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Access).
• Experience with document control, scheduling, cost control and project management software is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in day-to-day management of project safety, quality, schedule, cost control, contracts, subcontractors, suppliers and procurement.
• Develop and implement the Project Execution Plan, Quality Assurance Plan, Safety & Health Plan, Subcontracting Plan, Project Staffing Plan and Procurement Plan.
• Contribute to negotiation and execution of prime contracts, subcontracts, purchase orders and change orders.
• Prepare information for project status reports, risks, schedule, costs and cash flows for stakeholders.
• Support project cost reporting, scheduling, work breakdown structures, project setup and closeout, and field progress tracking processes.
• Assist with onboarding of craft/field supervision and development of project labor agreements.
