Job summary

Hourigan is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to support the on-site supervision of construction projects. You will assist the Project Superintendent, oversee field activities, coordinate subcontractors, and help ensure safety and quality standards are met.

The ideal candidate has a BS in Construction Management or related field and 2–5 years of construction experience, with proficiency in Procore and Bluebeam. Some travel may be required, and Hourigan offers competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field position, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least 2-5 years of experience, preferably in general contracting.
• Experience with construction management software; Procore and Bluebeam preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist other superintendents in managing field activities for projects of varying sizes and complexity.
• Ensure subcontractors meet quality and schedule expectations.
• Coordinate with Project Superintendent on weekly schedule changes.
• Perform duties in conjunction with the Project Superintendent and study project plans/specifications.
• Lead on-site safety meetings and subcontractor coordination sessions.
• Monitor on-site construction activities for progress, quality, safety, and coordination.
• Prepare materials, equipment, and tools lists for on-site work.
