Job summary

Element2 Group seeks an Assistant Superintendent to partner with the Superintendent in managing construction sites. You will help lead, monitor, and execute projects on schedule and within budget, overseeing carpenters, trades, and subcontractors on renovation and new builds.

You will schedule, supervise crews, and meet with clients, while ensuring safety and quality standards. Strong communication and plan-reading skills are essential; OSHA 30 and related certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Construction Management or related field.
• OSHA 30 Certification is required or preferred.
• CPR/First Aid Certification is required or preferred.
• ABC Superintendent Certification is preferred.
• Massachusetts Superintendent License is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure project safety compliance.
• Directly supervise crews for specific tasks and roles.
• Assist Superintendent with daily onsite activities and coordination.
• Study and interpret construction documents and plan of action.
• Create daily field reports including manpower, visitors, daily activity, and weather.
• Attend weekly meetings with subcontractors and client team.
• Assist with inspections coordination with local building officials and 3rd party inspections.
• Mentor carpenters and laborers; foster a productive site culture.
