Job summary

Commercial Contracting Corporation in Southeast Michigan seeks a skilled Construction Layout Surveyor to support commercial and industrial projects. This role performs field layout, establishes control points, and ensures accuracy between plans and field execution.

You will travel to Midwest projects with per diem, perform layouts for foundations, footings, anchor bolts and walls, and conduct topographic and as-built surveys while coordinating with project teams to keep field operations aligned.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in construction surveying, layout, or field engineering.
• Experience using Total Stations, GPS systems, and survey equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret civil, structural, and architectural drawings.
• Knowledge of construction methods and jobsite practices.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
• Willingness to travel to project sites across the Midwest.

Responsibilities

• Perform construction layout for foundations, footings, anchor bolts, and walls.
• Conduct topographic and as-built surveys.
• Establish and maintain survey control points on job sites.
• Review drawings to confirm measurements and identify discrepancies.
• Communicate layout details with project teams to support field operations.
• Ensure all layout work is completed accurately and on schedule.
• Perform field measurements for elevations, alignments, and boundaries.
