Qualifications

• 5–10 years of experience in construction inspection.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong ability to prioritize and organize tasks.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Working knowledge of ODOT and OTA specifications.
• Materials testing experience and relevant certifications.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and understand project plans and specifications while verifying compliance.
• Test materials delivered to the project site to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Document daily work activities.
• Travel is required; willingness to work on short-term and long-term out-of-town projects.
• Read and interpret data, information, and documents.
• Analyze problems and identify solutions.
• Perform highly detailed work across multiple concurrent tasks.
• Work effectively under tight deadlines.
• Interact professionally with staff, contractors, and the public.
