Job summary

Wilson & Company, Inc., Engineers & Architects seeks a Construction Inspector for our Springfield, MO office to monitor transportation projects from start to finish. You will document daily progress and ensure work aligns with plans, specifications, and MoDOT requirements.

The role requires travel, lifting 50+ pounds, and clear communication with owners, contractors and staff. MoDOT certification is a plus. Salary ranges from $33,000 to $83,000 with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• 2+ years construction experience preferred.
• MoDOT Technician Certification is a plus or willingness to obtain certification.
• Willingness to travel and stay out of town as required.

Responsibilities

• Observe and inspect construction projects from start to finish with thorough documentation.
• Read and interpret plans, details, specifications, and other contract documents.
• Conduct laboratory and field testing on soils, aggregates, asphalt, and other materials.
