Job summary

Wallace Montgomery seeks a Construction Inspector for Virginia projects. You will perform field inspections, document tests on soils and materials, and travel across the state to support road construction and maintenance efforts.

Night shifts may be required, along with maintaining comprehensive records and photos. The role requires a valid driver's license and VDOT-related certifications, with supervision under a Project Engineer.

Qualifications

• Performs field inspections of construction and maintenance projects.
• Conducts and documents tests on soils, asphalt, concrete, aggregates, and related products.
• Maintains daily reports, progress photos, and change records.
• Must travel statewide and be available for night shifts when required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and observe construction projects and roadways; document conditions.
• Coordinate with engineers/contractors; participate in meetings as needed.
• Prepare and maintain Inspector's Daily Reports (IDR) and rate quantities for progress payments.
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards on site.
