Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Construction Inspector to support WV Department of Transportation projects in Bridgeport, WV. You will work under general supervision on average-sized projects, ensuring quality control and contractor compliance from planning through closeout.

The role emphasizes field work, data collection, reporting, and collaboration with project teams. A technical degree with 3–5+ years’ experience and WV DOT procedures familiarity are required.

Qualifications

Technical degree or equivalent in a related field.
3–5+ years of field experience.
WVTRET Accreditation Level II, III, or IV.
Experience with WV DOT procedures and policies.
Proficient with Site Manager and Project Wise.

Responsibilities

Inspect roadway, structure and bridge construction for quality and contractor compliance.
Coordinate inspections with contractor, client and stakeholders.
Generate inspection reports and documentation for project closeout.
Prepare and review plans, schedules, submittals and QA/QC documents.
Tabulate quantities and monitor monthly contractor payments.
Mentor junior staff in procedures and software.
