Qualified candidates have an Associate’s Degree with 3 years’ relevant experience or 5 years without an AAS; strong reporting and communication skills and a valid driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in a related field with 3 years of experience in a similar engineering role, or 5 years of similar experience without an AAS degree.
• Familiarity with construction observation reporting and procedures.
• Strong communication skills including detailed daily report writing using field tablets and accurate quantity tracking.

Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections of construction projects and materials to ensure compliance with codes, standards, and approved plans/specifications.
• Perform field inspections of road and water/sewer infrastructure projects.
• Resolve problems with Project Managers and Construction Manager.
• Review and interpret construction documents, site drawings, as-built drawings, and specifications.
• Prepare field and other reports to document inspection findings.
• Communicate with supervisor, employees, and project personnel to exchange information and solve problems.
