Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in construction inspection or observation on land development or municipal projects.
• Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and field installation practices for utilities, roads, and site development.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
• Strong written and verbal communication with attention to detail.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and field reporting or construction management software.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to multiple project sites.

Responsibilities

• Observe and inspect construction activities for land development and municipal projects.
• Monitor contractor work for compliance with plans, specs, permits, local regulations, and standards.
• Prepare detailed daily inspection reports including site conditions and progress.
• Track installed quantities to support payments and documentation.
• Capture photographic progress and field conditions.
• Serve as field liaison among contractors, municipal clients, utility agencies, and the design team.
• Attend construction progress meetings and provide updates on status and challenges.
• Verify materials, equipment, and workmanship meet specifications and contract requirements.
• Assist with review of shop drawings, RFIs, and change orders.
• Monitor project schedules and communicate potential delays or impacts to management.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and report unsafe conditions.
• Coordinate with utilities, municipalities, and other stakeholders.
• Support closeout activities, including punch lists and as-built documentation.
