The role focuses on monitoring field activities, documenting progress, and ensuring work meets plans, specs, permits, and standards across land development and municipal projects.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in construction inspection, strong communication, and the ability to read drawings.

Qualifications

3+ years of experience in construction inspection or observation.
Experience with land development or municipal infrastructure.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
Strong written and verbal communication with documentation accuracy.
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to multiple sites.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

Observe and inspect construction activities for land development and municipal projects, including site grading, roadways, water systems, and stormwater facilities.
Monitor contractor work to ensure compliance with plans, specs, permits, local regulations, and standards.
Prepare detailed daily inspection reports with site conditions, progress, and quantities.
Track and verify installed quantities to support payments and project documentation.
Capture and maintain photographic documentation of progress and field conditions.
Coordinate with contractors, municipal clients, utility agencies, and design teams to resolve field issues.
